Diya (Dalul x Bint Nasalla)
A beautiful Egyptian mare, Diya produced nine foals for Bay Laurel. Their sires included Bey Shah+, Fame VF+, Fast Eddy, BA Bey Elation, LV Cartell and Barbary. Seven of those were trained to trail and all seven completed Tevis. Two (Bey Shadow BL and Abdul Latif BL) have finished Tevis Top Ten so far. A grandget, Desha BL (out of BL Deva) has finished Tevis in the Top Ten twice. Two of her early fillies (Cara Bay and Scandiya) were shown successfully and subsequently produced some remarkable foals. Cara Bay (x Bey Shah+) was shown by Michael Byatt to a Class A Grand Championship and was later sold to Brazil where she produced a champion stallion. Cara Bay’s full brother, Bey Shahdal BL, won many distance trail competitions, finished Tevis three times, and then was exported to Brazil. BL Deva (x Fast Eddy x Salon) competed in the 2001 World Championship Endurance competition in Dubai, and was the top endurance horse in Japan in 2002. Diya’s sire Dalul was a Canadian National Champion, sired by Morafic. Her tail female line is Bint Nasalla, Nasalla, Nafalla.
BL Deva (Fast Eddy x Diya)
BL Deva competed in the 2001 World Championship Endurance competition in Dubai and was the top endurance horse in Japan in 2002. She produced Desha BL, who has completed Tevis four times, twice in the Top Ten. Desha BL produced 2006 Diyas Alfonsina BL (x Cartell).
Filli Fad (Sa Fad x Fillisan)
Sa Fad (Fadjur++ x Saki), was a National Park Horse Champion.
Fillisan was a bay Egyptian mare who was a successful trail competitor and produced other top trail horses. Filli Fad carried Peter Rich to victory in Region High Point Competition trail rides among many successful endurance outings. Filli Fad produced two notable daughters, Trazza (x Baskhemo) and Cinder Bey (x Bay El Bey).
Bur Brea (Aladdin Echo x Bur Dante)
Brea’s dam was a Kharibe daughter. A compact, fast-trotting bay mare, Brea produced some of the most attractive horses at Bay Laurel including Fiora Elation BL, Tosca BL and YTWOK Coppi BL.
Cinder Bey (Bay El Bey x Filli Fad)
Cinder Bey, aka “CB”, has completed Tevis twice and she is well-known in the competitive trail ride community, having won several high point awards. CB has always been counted on for a steady performance. All her foals, she has produced 1991 Cinel BL, 1999 Rufus BL, 2001 Jamal BL, 2003 Luna BL, and a 2006 foal, possess CB’s extraordinary fast smooth trot.
Trazza (Baskhemo x Filli Fad)
A classic-looking bay mare who has produced 1998 Iman BL (black), 2000 YTWOK Bartali BL, 2002 Martina BL, 2003 Azzana BL, 2004 Nura BL, and 2006 Enzo Sacchi BL.
SE Nasu Rain (Ben Nasrif x Suletta HCC)
Rain is a bright chestnut broodmare with a robust build and great legs. She produced 1998 Luigi BL (15.3 hands), 2004 Rabea BL, 2006 Gastone.
